RJ's Story

Rhody Joe is a legenday Rhode Islander. When you think of Rhody Joe, think Paul Bunyan with a Ram instead of his Ox; think Daniel Boone with a fishing pole instead of a rifle; or Captain Hook with a Block Island Double Ender fishing boat instead of a Pirate Ship.

All of his adventures and travels gave RJ the opportunity to eat and drink at bars, pubs and taverns all over the world. He found recipes for the best steaks, seafood, burgers, pizzas and many other dishes. Now, RJ looks around all over this great state and sees a bunch of ho-hum cookie cutter, restaurants. So RJ did what he always does, took matters into his own hands and opened up his own joint. Rhody Joe's Saloon. There are dozens of tales like this about Rhody Joe and the legend just keeps growing. Believe what you want, and laugh at the stories you don't, but when it comes to Rhody Joe's Saloon you can bet on one thing. RJ was always a little bigger and better than the next guy and Rhody Joe's Saloon is the same way with its competitors in the restaurant biz.
